- Coaches information- This is your last chance to include your coaches’ information on the website.
The names of your coaches, the sports they coach, e-mail and phone numbers should be inserted on the Coaches information page.
This page is located in the school information section, right under the listing of physical education staffs, are the coaches. Please enter this information in today in order to avoid a $100.00 fine.
- Champions: Just a reminder that the Champions program workshop will be October 29th, Thursday, and October 30th, Friday, which is just 3 weeks away. For those not familiar with the program go to our website and click on Champions. It's a great opportunity for those students in your leadership classes looking for a worthwhile project. - Coach of the Month - We are pleased that Harv-AL sportswear will be sponsoring a rural and urban Coach of the Month. Each winner will receive a certificate, and article of clothing from Harv Al. Nominations may come via e-mail to mhsaa@mhsaa.ca. Send us a short note nominating a deserving coach and tell us why he or she should be recognized.
- Sun Dog Sunglasses fundraiser: The MHSAA has once again struck a deal with Sun Dog Sunglasses. There super glasses are end of year returns from golf courses. They normally sell for $60-80.00 and schools can purchase them through MHSAA for $10.00 each, and that includes all shipping and taxes. Schools would have to order a minimum of 4 dozen at a time. These can sell for $15 or $20 or more and can be used as a quick fundraiser. Sell to the staff, parents, and friends. Great Christmas gift. Order now – quantities limited. - Immanuel Christian contact information - please note that in the Provincial Handbook on page 96, there is an error in the contact email address for Immanuel Christian. The email address should read: sports@immanuelchristian.ca
- Portage Collegiate e-mail is listed incorrectly in the yellow pages of the handbook. The e-mail should be apatterson@plpsd.mb.ca
- Tournaments- remember, in tournament play, regardless of how many games/matches you may play, tournaments count as two games/matches when calculating your numbers for Volleyball and Basketball.

- Volleyball Eligibility deadline was last Friday- because it was Thanksgiving- you have one days grace to get them in!! Do it Now!!
- Basketball Manitoba, the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg are excited to announce the details the first annual 'Super Coaches Clinic' weekend scheduled for October 23-24 at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre. The clinic comes as a partnership with the University of Manitoba Bisons and University of Winnipeg Wesmen as a joint offering to the basketball community. The clinic will run at the same time as the province wide 'SAG' in-service day on Friday October 23. The clinic features 14 different presentations over the two days and features a wide range of topics for all levels of basketball. Register today for Manitoba's premier basketball coaching event! - Volleyball Graduating All-Star Banquet & Match - December 5, 2009 in Winnipeg. All High Schools Coaches are asked to submit the player identification form below as soon as possible. Nomination for the Coach, Officials and Mike Burchuk/Dennis Nord Award are due on November 13, 2009 at 4:00 pm. Zone nominations need to be in to your high school zone convenors by Thursday, November 12.
