    1.. School Information Sheet - Please log in to the ExNet System and make sure that your coaches information is complete on the School Information Sheet.  The email addresses entered here are crucial in ensuring efficient communication from the MHSAA to coaches with regards to upcoming scholarship opportunities, etc.  Schools will be liable for a  $200.00 if this information is not completed by Friday October 17th.

    2.. Graduating All-Star recognition for Volleyball players - The Manitoba Volleyball Association needs your help in identifying potential candidates for their Graduating All-Star Team.  The Nomination forms that include 12 nominations from your zone and 12 from outside your zone, are due by November 7th.  For further information, contact Anthony Hidson at 925-5787 or anthonyhidson@sport.mb.ca.

    3.. The Manitoba High School Field Lacrosse League (MHSFLL) is holding their Annual General Meeting at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Sport Manitoba. This is a co-ed league. Any schools interested in attending, or learning more about the league are encouraged to attend. Please contact Tracey Groening (MHSFLL President) at tgroening@pembinatrails.ca for more information.

    4..     5..     6.. Volleyball Eligibility - The deadline for Volleyball Eligibility Sheets is October 20, 2008.

    7.. Coaches Cards - If you have already placed your order, there is a small delay as we are currently finalizing the new design.  Order by October 24th to ensure that you will have yours before Volleyball Provincials.  The cost will remain the same at $10.00 for a two year card.  Confirmed participants on this year's coaches card include:

    Thunder Rapids - buy one go-kart or miniature golf and receive one free. Valid anytime

    8.. Athlete of the Week - -- Don't forget to nominate deserving young men and women from your school as a rural or urban MHSAA Athlete of the Week.  The selected individual receives an attractive t-shirt and certificate as well as Media and website recognition.  Nominate at this link, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/athlete_of_the_week_Nomination_form.php

    9.. FLOORBALL-  The MHSAA has a number of high quality Floorballs that it is clearing out at $2.50 each.  Contact Morris with your order for quick shipping out.  We also have a number of used Floorball sticks.  These sticks were used as demo sticks.  We are clearing these out at $5.00 each.  Contact Morris if you are interested.

    10.. Student leadership conference  - The National Federation of State High School Associations will be hosting an International Student leadership conference in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 16- 19, 2009.  Approximately 400 young men and women from across the US, several Canadian Provinces and students from other countries will attend.  last year Manitoba sent 5 students.  While MHSAA can support part of the trip, it is expected that the cost to the students will be around $500.00.  For more details on last years' workshop click http://www.nfhs.org/web/2007/04/2007_nfhs_student_leadership_con.aspx
