1. 2009 Notices of Motion have now been submitted and can be viewed under latest news on our website, http://www.mhsaa.ca   or click on the following link http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pdfs/2009/Zone_Notices_of_Motion_for_April_2009_meeting.pdf

The Motions will be voted on at the MHSAA  Annual Meeting to be held in Portage La Prairie on June 15 and 16.

2.      Annual Meeting  2009 Annual General Meeting - The MHSAA Annual meeting will take place June 14-16, at the Canad Inn -Portage La Prairie. Plan now to attend.  The registration form has been posted on the website, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php.

3.      2010 Provincial Fastpitch Host - We are presently looking for a School to host the 2010 Provincial High Schools Girls Fastpitch Championships on June 11 & 12.  For more information, please contact Carey at 925-5642.

4.      Positions open for MHSAA Board of Directors- start thinking about running for a position on the MHSAA Board.  Open positions include President, Urban rep,  and a rural rep.  Contact Morris at morris@mhsaa.ca if you would like further information.
 
5.      SAG 2009-  will be held on October 23.  MHSAA will not sanction any tournaments during that day.  Tournaments beginning at 3:30 p.m. on October 23, will be approved.   As a result of the SAG date change, Volleyball provincials will now return to the last weekend in November.

6.      2009-2010 Provincial Championships- The dates of next year's Championships are available at http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/prov_championships/09_prov_champ_dates.php

7.      PLAY ON- The 2009 Play On Street Hockey Tournament will be held in Winnipeg along Memorial Blvd on May 23 and 24.  Click here for more information http://www.playon.ca/

9.      Rural Student rep- The MHSAA is looking for a rural Student rep to sit on the Board of Directors.  This would be open to a student currently in grade 10 as it is for a two year term.  Contact Carey (carey@mhsaa.ca) for further information

10.  A reminder that We have moved -  MHSAA is now located on the second floor of 200 Main Street in room 210, and our new fax number is 204- 925-5792.

11.  Grey Cup Legacy High School Coach of the Year Nomination forms are now on the website. Check out http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pdfs/Grey_Cup_Legacy_application.pdf for more details or to nominate a coach

12.  Scholarships and Athlete Awards - The Credit Unions Scholar /Athlete Award, Jostens Athlete of the year, and Super 8 - Super 8 Athlete of the year applications are now posted on the website,
http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php. Don't miss the opportunity to nominate your athletes. Deadline for applications is Friday, May 29, 2009.

13.  Online registrations - With the numerous spring sports beginning, please ensure that the appropriate eligibility sheets and tournament information is completed on the MHSAA online registration before the deadline date.

14.  Plan now to attend the Beautiful Plains Volleyball Camp to be held in Neepawa from Aug 24- 28, 2009.  Many current and former Brandon Bobcats along with Bill Gadd and Krista Moffat will be conducting sessions.  Contact 1-204-727-3893 or gaddvolleyball@westman, wave.ca for further information.

15.  Congratulations to Daryl Ford who was recently named as Coaching Manitoba Coach of the Year in the High school category.  Also, congratulations to Deloraine's Tony Franklin for capturing the Vince Leah Memorial Award, which represents the grassroots category.
