MHSAA Update

  1. FIBA Rules Clinic - two sessions will be held on November 7. One at the Sport Manitoba building (200 Main Street in Winnipeg) and one at Crocus Plains in Brandon on between 7 - 9 pm. They will go over in detail the differences and highlights people will experience in the FIBA game.   2. Volleyball Eligibility CORRECTION - The deadline for Volleyball Eligibility Sheets is October 19th, 2007.

  3. Tournaments Message Board – The new and improved MHSAA and Tournament Message Boards are up and running. Before you can post messages, you will need to register, to do this, you will need a username and password that you choose for yourself (not the ExNet one) and a valid email address. Then you will be able to log in to the message boards and post information. Check often for tournament information.

  4. Coaching Manitoba presents: 2007 Super Seminar for Coaches (this weekend) Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Maples Collegiate & Maples Multiplex, featuring keynote speaker, former NHL and Canadian Olympic Coach Pat Quinn.   5. School Info/coaches info – Please make sure that all of your school information and list of all coaches are now entered online. We will be printing a school directory shortly. Don’t be embarrassed by not having your school information included, and don’t risk being fined $100.00.

  6. Athlete of the Week – Just a reminder that nominating your students for Athlete of the Week is an excellent way to recognize their achievements. Fill in the online form on http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/athlete_of_the_week_Nomination_form.php.

  7. Remember to take advantage of Sport Manitoba Travel Assistance if you have traveled to a MHSAA Provincial Championship. Check out http://www.sportmanitoba.ca/downloads/Athlete_Travel.pdf for more information.

  8. New School Phone Numbers – Hartney, Deloraine, Wawanesa and Waskada schools have changed their phone numbers. Please note the new numbers in your provincial handbook.
