1. Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Volleyball Scholarship application form now
posted at http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php. Four $750.00
scholarships will be awarded. Each school may nominate on male and one female
athlete. This is a great way to recognize your volleyball players and assist
with the cost of post secondary education.
2. Hockey eligibility
deadline November 15. All players including AP have to be entered.
3. Manitoba Score Magazine- Look for the next issue of Manitoba
Score Magazine to be distributed on November 12. The cover features high school
Volleyball players and looks at the upcoming Provincials. Email info@manitobascore.com with questions or visit
www.manitobascore.com for information on purchasing
copies for your school.
4. Manitoba High School Sports Hall of
Fame- The MHSAA will be developing an online Hall of Fame. Criteria is
currently being finalized, but if you know of a deserving individual that you
think should be recognized, please e-mail morris@mhsaa.ca.
5. Handbook Misprint - The fax number for the Gray Academy of Jewish Education
should read 477-7475. please change this in your handbook in two places, the
yellow directory section at the back, and under the Urban Soccer Provincial
Information. Thank you.
6. Volleyball Championships - if you
would like a tentative schedule for your respective championship, they have been
forwarded to zone convenors. Volleyball Championships schedules are on our
website, www.mhsaa.ca.
Please remember to email carey at carey@mhsaa.ca or call
him at 925-5642 as soon as your zone representative has been
determined.
Please check pages 30-36 of the Provincial
Handbook or http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/sports/volleyball.php for
information on rosters, wildcards, championship formats, uniform rules, etc.
This may become very important if you qualify for a Volleyball Championship or
interested in a wildcard.
7. "A" BOYS Volleyball Convenor -
please note that there has been a change in the "A" Boys Volleyball convenor as
listed in the handbook on page 30. The championships are still in Wawanesa, but
the convenor information has been changed to Jonathan Holland, ph:

8. School Resources - The MHSAA is looking for assistance in creating a DVD on
the importance of school sport and one on sportsmanship. We are also looking at
designing a brochure on the MHSAA. If your school has students that have talent
in any of these areas, please contact Morris at morris@mhsaa.ca or
925-5641.
9. FIBA Basketball Scoresheets - New, FIBA basketball
scoresheets are now available through the MHSAA office. Cost is $6.25 for a
