1. Coaches email addresses online - with over 175 potential teams attempting to qualify for the upcoming volleyball championships, it is important for schools to enter the correct email addresses for their coaches. Schedules and important information will be emailed out to coaches this year and we will be using the email addresses as entered on the online system. Please ensure that all of your data is updated including all of your coaches and their email addresses. Schools not doing so will be fined.

2. Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Volleyball Scholarship application form now posted at http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php. Four $750.00 scholarships will be awarded. Each school may nominate on male and one female athlete. This is a great way to recognize your volleyball players and assist with the cost of post secondary education.

3. Manitoba High School Sports Hall of Fame- The MHSAA will be developing an online Hall of Fame. Criteria is currently being finalized, but if you know of a deserving athlete that you think should be recognized, please e-mail morris@mhsaa.ca.

4. 2009 Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island - The deadline for applications to be a member of Team Manitoba's Mission Staff for the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island is December 1st. An application form is available on the Sport Manitoba website for download at http://www.sportmanitoba.ca/programs/teammanitoba.php

5.Eligibility Appeals - The next eligibility appeals meeting is December 5th. Please send all appeals the MHSAA office no later than Monday December 2nd, to be considered. Required information is outlined on page 8 of the handbook and can be faxed to 925-5624, emailed to morris@mhsaa.ca or mailed to 200 Main Street, Winnipeg, R3C 4M2.

8.. Tournaments Message Board - The MHSAA is pleased to inform you that the tournaments message boards are back up and running. Check out http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/mhsaaBB/. There is also a message board for comments. Please use this to list your tournament requirements. We will not be listing them in any more updates.
