RURAL Track and Field Coaches only - Please take a moment to review the RURAL Track and Field Championships ENTRIES as posted on our website. (top right hand corner, under Current Items). This is absolutely crucial in ensuring that this championship runs smoothly. Errors not corrected by Noon on Thursday may not allow an athlete(s) to compete during the championships. Please review the entries and if there are any errors, omissions or concerns, please email them to me at carey@mhsaa.ca.
- Scholarships and Athlete Awards – The Credit Unions Scholar Athlete Award, Josten’s Athlete of the year, and Super 8 – Super 8 applications are now posted on the website, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php. Don’t miss the opportunity to nominate your athletes for these awards. Deadline for applications is Friday, May 30, 2008 at NOON.
- Vanier Cup Scholarship 2008/2009 - In recognition of the U of M Bison’s 2007 Vanier Cup Championship, the Province of Manitoba has implemented the Vanier Cup Bison Scholarship. Two new scholarships will be available in 2008/2009 for first-year University of Manitoba students who excel in both sports and scholastics. Each scholarship, awarded to one male and one female, will be worth $5,000. The program's emphasis is placed on athletes who have competed at the provincial level or higher during 2007-2008, and who have maintained a high level of academic standing, while showing a commitment to amateur sport through their involvement in coaching, officiating and volunteer activities. Application deadline: October 17, 2008. - Summer Bingos – MHSAA has been allocated bingo dates for July, August and September. If your school would be interested in participating in one of these events, please send a letter of application to morris@mhsaa.ca. Eight volunteers over the age of 18 are required. Your school will receive $750.00 towards your high school athletics program.
- Staff Changes – if there are any staff or administrative changes in your school starting in the 2008-2009 season, please email this information to morris@mhsaa.ca, so that it can be included in the September edition of the PACER

- MHSAA Handbook – As the year-end is fast approaching, please take a moment to review your school’s information in the directory section of the MHSAA Provincial Handbook (the yellow pages at the back) and email any changes to christine@mhsaa.ca.
- Legion Athletic Camps - Registrations are now being accepted for the 47th Legion Athletic Camp. Students should register early to ensure that you are not disappointed. This camp is hosted at the International Peace Garden . For Further information, check out http://www.legionathleticcamp.com/
- Tournament Message Board – Just a reminder that you can now post messages on the MHSAA website if you have a team that is looking to attend a tournament, or a tournament that is looking for teams to fill out the draw. To use this feature of the website, you need to register for a user name and password. This can be whatever user name and password you want, so make sure it’s something that’s easy to remember. Once you have registered, you can simply log in and post messages.
- Tournament Registration- You can now register your upcoming tournaments for the 2008-2009 school year using the ExNet System.
