1.. Jewish Athlete of the Year Award - The Rady Jewish Community Centre "Y' Sports Dinner committee is looking for nominations for it's Idy & Max Nusgart Jewish Athlete of the Year award. The finalists will be recognized and the winner announced at the 36th annual Rady JCC "Y" Sports Dinner on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Athletes, their parents and/or coaches can submit a nomination for any athlete competing at the high school, provincial or national/international level. Please submit a brief resume of the athlete's accomplishments over the past 12 to 18 months, along with their age, and contact information, name, address, and phone number. Please send nominations to: Al Shpeller, Director of Finance, c/o the Rady Jewish Community Centre, 123 Doncaster Avenue Winnipeg, Manitoba R3N 2B2, or email ashpeller@aspercampus.mb.ca. 2.. Todd Davison Never Alone Scholarship -The Never Alone Foundation would like to award the Todd Davidson Memorial Scholarship ($1,000.00) to a High School athlete who (this award is open to athletes participating in all MHSAA sanctioned sports):
- Has risen above personal challenges in their life
- Shows a hard working, diligent approach to the game
- Displayed strong leadership and team play
- Is respected by teammates and coaches
- Is proceeding to a post secondary education on a full or part time basis.

3.. AGM Notices of Motion - the deadline for Notices of Motion- April 21. All Motions must be submitted through the Zone president. (Zone Presidents Meeting is on April 25)
4.. 2008 Annual General Meeting - The MHSAA Annual meeting will take place June 15 - 17 at the Canad Inn Portage La Prairie. Plan now to attend. The registration form has been posted on the website, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php.
5.. Never Stop. Milk contest- Our partner, Dairy Farmers of Manitoba has an exciting new contest on right now. Tell your athletes to go to the MHSAA site and right at the top of the page is the link that they can click on for this exciting contest.
6.. The MHSAA is developing an on-line resource library. We are looking for tips, ideas, sample forms, lesson plans etc. We would like to have a section of our website devoted to ideas and reference items. if you have any suggestions in areas such as dealing with parents, fund raising, athlete handbooks, forms etc or samples of items that may assist in student leadership classes, please e-mail this information to mhsaa@mhsaa.ca.
7.. Curling /Hockey/Basketball Championship Evaluations - have been emailed out to all Coaches who partcipated in these championships. Coaches email addresses which are incorrect on the online system, or simply not submitted, would not have received an evaluation. If you are a participating Coach who has not received this evaluation, please email carey at carey@mhsaa.ca
8.. Pilot Mound is in the TOP 5 for Hockeyville 2008 - Pilot Mound has been voted in as one of the top 5 finalists for Kraft's Hockeyville 2008. Starting March 29, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST the voting is again open to unlimited votes (so please vote as often as you can to) by telephone and on-line. This continues until April 4, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST. The winner is announced April 5, 2008 on CBC's Hockey Night In Canada. Help us achieve the ultimate title as Kraft's Hockeyville 2008 champions!! We are hoping to win the $100,000. grand prize as well as host a pre-season NHL hockey game in our new complex. To vote by phone dial 1-888-843-5604 and follow the prompts.
