5.. Walk to Afghanistan in support of 800 CFB Shilo soldiers   - CFB Shilo is running an activity challenge in support of the 800 soldiers that are being deployed from Shilo to Afghanistan.  The goal is to walk the 13,000 kms over to Afghanistan for each of the 800 soldiers. We are encouraging everyone to get active, log their activity and submit it to us.   It is very easy to participate.  For example, when a team plays one hockey game, they would accumulate 13kms for each team member.  Also, for every hour that the team practices, it would accumulate another 13 kms per player.  If a team is interested in participating, simply calculate how many practices and/or games per week they have/had - from Jan. 25th - March 9th.  For more information, contact Eva Cameron, Health Promotion Administrative Assistant, CFB Shilo 765-3000 ext. 3868 or email walktoafghanistan@gmail.com.

6.. Provincial Badminton Accommodations - Although the Badminton Championships in Gimli are not until May 2 & 3, it is strongly recommended for zone convenors to book accommodations soon.  IF you wait till just before the championships, there may not be any rooms available.  Please book rooms for your zone as soon as you can.  There is a list of accommodations on page 53 of the handbook.
