1. NOTE -  Volleyball dates for 2008 have been moved due to SAG being changed to November 28 (Friday).  The MHSAA Board has decided on the dates:

            JV Rural Championships - November 20, 21 & 22

            JV Urban Championships - November 21 & 22

            A, AA, AAA Championships - December 4, 5 & 6

            AAAA Championships - December 4, 5 & 8

3..  2008 Annual General Meeting - The MHSAA Annual meeting will take place June 15 - 17 at the Canad Inn Portage La Prairie.  Plan now to attend.  The registration form has been posted on the website, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php.
 
4.. Student Athlete Representative URBAN - The MHSAA is seeking for an energetic Winnipeg student going into grade 11, that would enjoy the opportunity to sit on the MHSAA Board of Directors.  This position is a two year term. Nomination criteria is on our website and due before May 23.
 

5. "AAA" Volleyball Championships - Sanford would like to host the 2008 "AAA" Volleyball GIRLS Side of the championships.  IF there are any interested "AAA" Schools in Winnipeg that would be interested in "sharing" this championship by hosting the BOYS side, please contact Carey.

10.. Student Manager Award- We are now accepting nominations for the 2007 Student Manager Award. This is a $500.00 scholarship. To nominate a deserving student, simply fax a letter to 925-5624or email morris@mhsaa.ca , outlining the details of the contribution that your student manager has made to your team, school, and athletic program over the year(s).

Tournaments- Reminder to register your upcoming tournaments for the 2008-2009 school year using the ExNet System.  There is also information on tournaments that are looking for teams and teams that are looking for tournaments on http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/mhsaaBB/.  Check there often as there are frequently new posts.
 
13.. Hockey 2009 - the MHSAA is looking for a Winnipeg school/team that is interested in hosting the 2009 Provincial High School Hockey Championships.  If you are interested, please contact morris at 925-5641 or morris@mhsaa.ca.
 
14.. Brandon Volleyball Coaching Clinic - Brandon will be hosting a Volleyball Clinic, August 25 - 28, which will feature some top U.S. Coaches.  They are opening this up to coaches to be able to observe and interact with the clinicians.  Fee is $75.00.  Contact Dean Oakden at 729-0361 or oakden.dean@brandonsd.mb.ca.
