MHSAA Update

  1. Volleyball Captains Bar – in the volleyball rule book, on page 22-rule 4 .3 .4 . it states:
The team captain must have on his/her jersey a stripe of 8 x 2 centimeters underlining the number on the chest. The MVOA has requested for all JV and varsity teams to have this identifying bar sewn on to your captains uniform as a badge of honour, as a touch of class, as a way of removing loose pieces of tape on the playing surfaces, and to allow proper discussion between the team and the referees during a match

They are also looking for tournaments to attend. For further information, contact Wendy Cull at 204-623-3411 or janj@mts.net.

The Champions Program is a leadership initiative that focuses on dealing with peer pressure, making the right choices, saying no to drugs, tobacco and alcohol. High school student leaders that attend the workshop go on to act as mentors in grade 5 classrooms, speaking on the same issues and helping the younger students to develop their skills.
