VOLLEYBALL WILDCARDS DECISIONS A,
AA and AAA wildcards will be
posted on the MHSAA website on Thursday. You can view
the site by going to Current Items (right hand side)
on our homepage. (please note revised deadline dates,
as posted on the website)
2.
AAAA Volleyball FINAL FOUR will
be at the University of Manitoba on Wednesday, November
29 with the girls semis, Wednesday, November 30
on Thursday with the boys semis and the championship
games on Monday, December 4. (this is contrary to the
handbook, due to scheduling conflicts at the U of Manitoba)

The Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame is seeking
nominations. The have athlete, builder and team categories.
Criteria and nomination forms are available by accessing
the Hall website at http://mbhof.com/inductees/Nomination2.pdf.

The Manitoba Volleyball Association is currently
accepting applications for the 2007 18U Women and 19U
Men Provincial Team Program coaching staff. Application
Deadline is this Friday, November 24, 2006. For a complete

Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Volleyball Scholarship
Application forms are now available on the website,
http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/forms.php,
please inform your qualified athletes. The scholarships
have increased to $750.00 this year.

Sport Manitoba Travel Assistance A reminder
to all schools, that will participate in Volleyball
Provincials, and those that will be participating in
upcoming provincials, to apply for travel assistance
from Sport Manitoba, through your regional manager.

Board Minutes The minutes from the November
9th MHSAA Board of Directors Meetings are now posted
on the website, http://www.mhsaa.mb.ca/pages/directory/board_minutes.php.
8.
Wrestling If your school has a wrestling
program, please let the MHSAA know. The Manitoba Wrestling
Association is starting up again, and trying to create
an inventory of the sport across the province.
9.
School Leadership programs Sport Manitoba
is looking at developing a student program that will
include officiating, scorekeeping, CPR, stats, etc.
If you currently offer a student leadership program
in your school, please email Rick Lambert at lambert@sport.mb.ca,
with information on the topics you cover.
10.
Eligibility Appeals the next eligibility
appeal meeting has been scheduled for December 6. All
appeals must be submitted by noon on December 4th to
be considered. Please see page 8 of the MHSAA handbook
for all required information.

Unique Fundraiser The Ultimate Scarf
this is an interesting and unique fundraiser. For further
information, check out www.ultimatescarf.com,
or call Devon at 694-3217. The scarves regularly sell
for $29.99, however school groups can sell them for
$25.00 and keep $10.00 as profit.

HOT 103 Report now has an audio link off
of the MHSAA homepage. Please listen in to reports about
high school athletes of the week and other MHSAA happenings.
