  1. Student coaching bursaries – Coaching Manitoba is accepting applications for high school students who are coaching in the school, club or community system. This is a $500 bursary and the applications can be found at www.coachingmanitoba.ca or contact Tom at 925-5913. Deadline is Friday, May 11.

  2. May Shot Clock Sale – Centaur Products Inc. is featuring shot clocks as its Sale Item for May. Shot Clocks with Game time are available for $2,890.00 and without Game time for $1,990.00.   3. St. John’s High School Alumni Golf Tournament – St. John’s High School Alumni are invited to attend the first annual Alumni Golf Tournament on Tuesday, July 17th at Larters at St. Andrews.   4. The 13th Annual Nikki Redekop Memorial Beach Volleyball tournament is June 9th at Melrose Community Club. This tournament raises money for the Nikki Redekop Memorial Scholarship as well as the Nikki Redekop Memorial Camp Scholarship.   5. Eligibility Deadlines – The eligibility deadline for baseball, fastpitch, urban soccer and track & field is May 18. Please ensure that all participating athletes are entered using the ExNet system.

  6. AGM – Thank you to all who have faxed their registration forms in already! If you will be requiring accommodations, please send in your registration form as soon as possible because space is limited

  7. 2007 Champions Workshop – Mark your calendars! The 2007 Champions Cross Mentoring Workshop has been set for Thursday and Friday, October 4-5, 2007. This is an excellent opportunity for student athletes to participate in a fun, two-day workshop on dealing with peer pressure, drug and alcohol awareness and building self esteem. These student leaders also receive instruction that prepares them to speak in grade 5 classrooms on these topics.

  8. MHSAA Board of Directors STUDENT Representative – The MHSAA is looking for a RURAL Student representative for the board of directors starting this fall. The student should be entering grade 11, and this is a two-year term. If you have any interested students please call Carey or visit the latest news section of our website

  9. Board positions- Think about running for a MHSAA Board position. They are two year terms and we have both rural and urban position open. Contact Morris at 925-5641 or morris@mhsaa.ca for more info.

  10. 2007-2008 Tournaments – Register your 2007-2008 tournament now! Simply log in to the ExNet System and select tournament Registration. ExNet will automatically put your tournament listing in the proper school year when you enter a tournament date after June 2007.
