- Basketball
rules MHSAA has adopted FIBA basketball rules,
effective this upcoming, 2007-2008 school year. This will
mean changing or adding the lines on the gym floors to
accommodate the different size key and three-point line.
This can be done at a reasonable price, using tape, then
painted on the next time the floor is re-done. We are
hoping that all schools will have made this change by
2010
- FIBA
Line paint Big Sky Enterprises has provided
us with reasonable quotes for putting down the FIBA wide
key and new three point lines. They have three different
choices. Those being; a) place vinyl lines that will last
for a season or two. b) paint the actual lines, including
sanding area lines to create a bond. This process still
requires a protective coat, which custodial staff can
do, or Big Sky can do for an additional fee. C) On Non
wood floors, a different paint and process is required,
including stripping off the wax and then painting the
lines using a 2 part epoxy paint. For more information
contact Shawn Atamanchuk at 831-6601.
