1. FANTASTIC SOCCER OPPORTUNITIES - The Manitoba
Soccer Association's Executive Director, Héctor
Vergara, is a renown World Cup Soccer Official and a
Motivational Speaker. Héctor is available to
make a presentation to your Phys Ed Students on the
topic of motivation and inspiration for reaching goals,
aspirations and dreams. As the only Canadian in 28 years
to referee in two World Cups and Olympic Games, Héctor
will speak on his experiences, how he reached his goals
through his determination and work ethic, provide information
on the sport of soccer and the fabulous life skill opportunities
and experiences that Soccer Officiating may provide
to your students. This is a great opportunity to meet
and speak with someone who is a role model to our student

Carman Collegiate Badminton Tournaments - Carman
Collegiate is hosting Badminton tournaments on the following
dates: Varsity - March 21, April 4, 10 or 16, and Junior

Coaching Manitoba Excellence Awards Call for Nominations
- Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:
Grassroots, Developmental, High Performance, and School
System. Coaching Manitoba will also honour individuals
who have been coaching a minimum of 30 years in the
Years of Service category, as well as coaches who have
participated at an International Event in 2006. Nomination
deadline is March 2, 2007. For further information or
