1. Sunglasses Special - The MHSAA will be featuring pairs of Sundog Sunglasses on display at Maples Collegiate during SAG. We will have 120 pairs still available at our special $20.00 price. These wonderful sunglasses retail between $45.00 and $60.00 and have been moving very quickly. Bring your crisp twenty-dollar bills to SAG and buy these wonderful glasses at employee prices. 2. High School Sports Week - This is High School Sports Week in Canada. A supplement was published in all city of Winnipeg delivered Winnipeg Free Press editions delivered last Thursday. Copies of this supplement have been mailed to all high schools in the province and should be received this week. Please let us know your thoughts. There are also a number of articles and a proclamation relating to high school sports on the MHSAA website.

3. Basketball Hall of Fame - Congratulations to Cheryl McComb of Fort Richmond Collegiate, who was inducted into the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday. Cheryl was a member of the 1987-88 Canadian Champion, University of Manitoba Bison Women's Basketball team. Congratulations also go to former MHSAA President, and coach at St. John's High School, Bill Wedlake, who is currently the Athletic Director at the University of Winnipeg. Bill was inducted, along with long-time referee, Rod Peppler. Visit the Hall of Fame website by clicking on the link section of the MHSAA website.

4. Floorball - Brian Zimmer will again be conducting Floorball clinics in schools. For more information or to borrow equipment, contact Brian at

6. Five Pin Bowling - The second annual Provincial 5 Pin Bowling Tournament will be taking place on April 22, 2006. Further information is available from the 5 Pin Bowling Association at 925-5651.

7. Boston Pizza Fundraising - Boston Pizza has a unique fundraiser called Boston Booster. Call Andrew at Boston Pizza, 925-4110 for more information (email Andrew@mbpizza.ca) or email morris@mhsaa.ca. This is for Winnipeg, Portage and Selkirk locations.

8. Accommodations for "AA" and "AAA" Basketball Championships - Accommodations for the "AA" and "AAA" in Brandon are very limited for that March weekend. For the "AA" championships in Elton and MacGregor. Please book ASAP for your zone/team. You may want to consider the following places on Hwy #1 in Brandon: Barney's on #1 hwy (204) 725-1540, Midway Hotel 1st Street (204) 725-1560, The Chalet #1 hwy (204) 727-1574.
