1. A special Culligan water deal for Winnipeg schools and teachers
Culligan's Certified Production Plant produces high quality bottled water that can be delivered to your school or home on a scheduled basis.

Regular pricing:
Cooler rental - $10.95/month (tax extra)
Water - $7.00 /each (1-4 per dely)
$6.25 /each (5+ per dely.)
Refundable Deposit- $10.00 /item

School or teacher pricing:

Cooler Rental $ No charge
Water - $6.00 /each
Refundable Deposit $10.00/item

School pricing will be available to teachers for home use until the end of November as an introductory offer. After November 30th, teachers will be subject to regular pricing.

2. Manitoba Basketball Coaches' Association - Consider joining the Manitoba Basketball Coaches' Association. This program offers many opportunities, such as: coaching clinics, All Manitoba, and Carl Ridd Awards, accidental and liability insurance, access to videos from the Basketball Manitoba library and the new coaches mentorship program. Special rates are available for schools and clubs.

3. Sport Manitoba is seeking energetic and experienced individuals to serve as volunteer Mission Staff members for the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse Yukon, February 24th to March 10th, and 2007 Western Canada Summer Games and Strathcona County Alberta, August 3rd to 11th.

4. Coaching Manitoba - will be hosting a Super Seminar on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg.

5. CAHPERD'S National School Challenges just got three times more fun! If you participated before, you won't want to miss what they have planned for you this year! This year's opportunities include:

o The MOGA (Most Outrageous Group Activity) MADNESS National School Challenge, Thursday November 24th, 2005.
o The Jump2bfit Across Canada National School Challenge, Thursday, February 23rd, 2006
o The SpecTAGular National School Challenge, Thursday, May 25th, 2006

6. Track and Field weight changes - Just a reminder, the weights of some implements have changed. These changes are as follows:
Shot Put Junior Girls - 4 kg (NEW) Junior Boys - 4 kg
Senior Girls - 4 kg Senior Boys - 5 kg (NEW)

Discus Girls - 1 kg Boys - 1.5 kg (NEW)
Javelin Girls - 600 grams Boys - 700 grams (NEW)

7. High School Sports Week - check out the School sport supplement in Thursday, October 13th home delivered editions of the Winnipeg Free Press. Copies will also be mailed out to all schools

8. Tournaments - Be sure to visit the tournaments section of our website to see what tournaments are looking for teams and what teams are looking for tournaments

9. The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport and Physical
Activity (CAAWS) will be holding two networking workshops in Winnipeg at the
Winnipeg Winter Club on Tuesday, November 1, 2005.

There is no cost for these events but as space is limited, registration is
