1. Murdoch MacKay will be hosting a Junior Girls Volleyball Tournament Oct 13-14, 2006 and a Varsity Girls Volleyball Tournament September 29/30, 2006 .Any teams interested please reply before June 26/06.

2. 12th Annual Nikki Redekop Beach Volleyball Tournament – The Manitoba Volleyball Association is proud to present the 12th Annual Nikki Redekop Memorial Beach Tournament on June 24th, 2006, at Melrose Community Club. Cost for this tournament is $20.00 per player. This tournament is in memory of Nikki Redekop who passed away on September 1, 1994 when her life was shortened by cancer. Funds raised through the tournament will go towards Volleyball Scholarships. Registration forms are available at www.manitobavolleyball.com. For more information, call 925-5912.

3. Rural Soccer Championships – Any schools interested in hosting the 2006 Provincial RURAL Soccer Championships please contact Carey at 925-5642. The dates for this championship are October 13 & 14. If a host school(s) is not secured for this championship, then there simply will be no provincial championship for Soccer in 2006.

4. Volunteer for the MTS Golf Classic, July 13-16, 2006 – MTS needs 150 volunteers to make the tournament a success. Volunteering is a great way to spend some time in the sun, enjoy world-class golf and be a part of the MTS Team. Volunteers will receive an MTS volunteer t-shirt ($40 value), free meals while ‘on duty’, access to watch the tournament all weekend, and an invitation to the volunteer appreciation party on Sunday. 9. Winnipeg STUDENT Representative – The Board of Directors is looking for a Winnipeg student representative to fulfill the position of urban student rep as our current one is graduating. We would prefer a grade 11 student, as this is a two-year term. The successful candidate will be required to attend four Board Meetings per year, as well as provincial championships, etc. If you have an active student that you believe would be an appropriate candidate, please contact Morris or Carey.
