Basketball wildcards/seedings In the next
few days, there will be many decisions regarding wildcards
and seedings. We will be emailing respective coaches
information on wildcards, ONLY if their email is entered
correctly in the online registration system. As well,
we will do our best to get results posted on the website,
but cannot guarantee expediency of website postings.
We HOPE to have the following posted on these dates:
AAAA
and JV on Saturday, March 4 in early afternoon
A,
AA and AAA on Wednesday, March
8 in late afternoon

The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) - is now accepting
applications for the 2006 Carol Anne Letheren Leadership
and Sport Scholarship. The scholarship is a national,
three-year, $1,500 per year, university scholarship
awarded to one outstanding female high school graduate.
The award is named in honour of the late Carol Anne
Letheren (1942-2001), former Chief Executive Officer
of the COC. To learn more on how to apply please visit

Applications must be received at the COC Toronto office
by mail by 5:00 p.m. EST, March 31, 2006.

Invitational Juvenile boys (U17) basketball tournament
- Beaver Brae in Kenora, is looking for three teams
to complete their invitational tournament on April 28-29.
They really would like to keep this school based.

We have a blank formatted roster
in an excel format that we are requesting for people
to use. You can access it on the downloads section of
our website or email a request for the excel format
from Christine at info@mhsaa.ca.

Field Hockey Manitoba will be hosting the 2006 FHC
Mens Indoor National Championship, March 17-19 at Kildonan
East Collegiate in Winnipeg. FHM is looking for a set
of Handball goal nets that could be used for the tournament.
FHM will arrange and cover the cost for shipment. If
for some reason there is damage to the goal nets (don't
suspect any) FHM will cover the cost to repair or replace
them. If you could help please contact the office by

thinking about Notices of Motion for the Annual General
Meeting. The Presidents Meeting will take place
on April 28th and all motions must be submitted to the
MHSAA office by April 15th.

BASKETBALL SUMMIT We are hosting a Basketball Summit
in Winnipeg on April 21 at the Sport Manitoba building.
This will be hosted in co-operation with Basketball
Manitoba. We will have FIBA rules on the agenda, as
well as where we are going with the sport, coaching
and officials development, etc. Please let us know if
