Provincial Championships - The 2006-2007 Provincial
Championship dates are now posted on the MHSAA
website Please note that there are changes in the
volleyball dates as the Provincial in-service
SAG has now been moved to November 24, 2006.
The
movement of SAG also allows us one extra weekend in
October and we are considering moving the Provincial
Rural Soccer Championships one weekend later to October
20th and 21st and move Cross Country back to Saturday,
October 14th rather than the mid-week date. Please let
us know what you think of these proposed changes.
2.
Annual General Meeting The Annual General
Meeting will be held June 18th, 19th and 20th, 2006.
Circle these dates on your calendar and plan to attend.
3.
Board of Director Positions The following
positions are open on the Board of Directors: Urban
Rep, Urban Admin Rep, and a Rural Admin Rep. Start thinking
now about running for the MHSAA Board of Directors.

Basketball Resources Canada Basketball is
developing a number of resources through its Be
One new initiative. Go to www.basketball.ca
and click on the Be One link. The membership
fee is $24.00 and gives you access to many online resources
and other benefits through Canada Basketball. It is
worth pursuing and joining.
5.
Basketball Rulebooks Last call for Basketball
Rulebooks, as we will be placing our final order shortly.

925-5640. The cost is $14.25.
Scoresheets
are still available in the MHSAA office. We will be
placing a new print order in January and it is anticipated
that prices will go up 50 cents to one dollar per set
of 25. Order now, and plan to have enough for this year
and next. The current cost is $6.25 per set

Legends and Legacy Hockey Game The Legends
and Legacy Hockey Game will be held at the MTS Centre
on Thursday, January 12th. This is an exhibition hockey
game between aboriginal stars of professional hockey
against the Winnipeg Jets Alumni Team. The Legends and
Legacy program includes a day program of speakers, a
meet and greet autograph session, and the game. All
proceeds go to the White Buffalo Spiritual Society.
Tickets are $15.00 each. For further information, contact

Canada Games Air Pistol Team The 2007 Canada
Winter Games Air Pistol Team is seeking two female high
school students that are willing to train for these
spots. They are looking for girls aged 14 18
for the Canada Winter Games that will take place in
Whitehorse, Yukon in February 2007. This is an interesting
opportunity. Students can call John at 334-5738 or Oliver
at 287-8951.

Inline Hockey Roller Sports Manitoba is planning
a high school inline hockey tournament from Thursday,
April 13th to Sunday, April 16th, 2006. More information
will be available shortly, but you may contact Sue Reid
at 925-5699 or email rollersportsmb@shawbiz.ca.

Champions The next Champions Cross Mentoring
Workshop will be held February 17 & 18th, 2006.
