Importance of high school sport
"I strongly believe that participating in sports programs enhances personal growth and development. Teamwork and fitness are key to the Canadian Forces. For me personally, playing football in high school has had an enormous impact. I learned about working as part of a team, determination to succeed, and leadership through various sports and feel they have directly contributed to my success in life. I am a confident leader because of my involvement in sports."

General Walt Natynczyk, Chief of the Canadian Forces Defence Staff. Daniel MacIntyre High School, football
