EVENTS
of the MULTI EVENT:
100m & 800m
Shotput & Long Jump
(plus one relay)

The
100m and Shot Put will be on Friday
The 800m and Long Jump will be on Saturday
The
100m and 800m will be timed finals.
Long
jump and shot put, will be allowed a total of three attempts.
Field
and track events will be scored on a point system per time/distance.
(A scoring table is being put together and will be circulated
when ready)

system;
1st - 16 2nd - 14 3rd - 12 4th - 10 5th - 8 6th - 4
7th - 3 8th - 2

ENTRY:
Athletes must compete in the multi event at their zone
championship to qualify for the Multi event at their respective
provincial championship.
Each
zone will be allowed to enter their top three finishers
into their respective championship.
The
top five finishers from the Rural championships will automatically
advance to the McDonald's Provincial Championship the following
weekend.
(There
must be a minimum of four entries in a category (jv girls,
jv boys, sr girls, sr boys) for the multi event to operate.
Any less, and it will be cancelled and those athletes will
be placed into the championships in their respective events)
Zones
may adapt the multi event schedule into their own zone meet
how they see fit. But, for their qualifying mark, they must
use the scoring table that will be provided.
Multi
event athletes are allowed to compete in the multi event
PLUS one relay.
