Easton “Unsung Hero” Award


The Easton “Unsung Hero” Award is to be given to a hockey player who has been judged by his teammates and coaches as the “unsung hero.”

2008 - 2009 Recipient

Allison Brinkworth from the St. James Collegiate Jimmies Women's Hockey team is a grade 11 student with an average of 80% and over 200 hours of volunteering in the school and community.  She was the captain of her high school team and a role model and positive voice for the coaches and one of the hardest working players on and off the ice. She continuously leads by example. She received a pair of Hockey Skates courtesy of Easton.

2007 - 2008



Ryan Gamache of the Dauphin Clippers Hockey Team is a real team leader, leading by example on and off the ice.  As the Clippers' Captain, Ryan was a dedicated player, never missing a game or practice and always encouraging his teammates to commit 100%.  His coaches stated, "if a measuring stick for awards would be the size of one's heart, then Ryan is a runaway winner!" He received a pair of Easton Synergy Skates.


2006 - 2007

2005-2006 recipient is Miles Jones from the Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders hockey team.
