Heather Marshall of the St. Norbert Celtics basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Winnipeg High School athlete of the week.
This 5’7” guard is averaging 16 points, 6 steals, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds per game. She was named the tournament MVP at Sanford and has led her team to a 27-1 record overall this season. “Heather is in the gym every morning working on her skills”, states coach Denis Marinelli, “Her dedication has paid huge dividends to our team”
In her grade 12 year she is maintaining an academic average of 91% while also participating in volleyball, cross-country, soccer & track & field.

Gil Ste Marie of the Ste Anne Lynx basketball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.
This 5’9” guard has received tournament all-star recognition twice and MVP on two other occasions this season. He averages 15 points per game, and scored 41 points in the zone championship game. “Gil is the hardest working player on our team and is capable of playing many minutes”, states coach Yvan St. Vincent, “he is extremely creative on the court and manages to always involve all his teammates”.
In his grade 12 year he is maintaining an academic average of 95% while also participating in volleyball and football.
